The French Republican Calendar, originally adopted during the French Revolution, aimed to simplify and secularize the calendar. This reformed calendar includes 12 months, each with 30 days, and allocates five - or six on leap years - extra days at the end of the year known as the Sansculottides.

This edition intends to be more than a quaint relic of history, but instead a useful tool for those that wish to pursue the French Republican Calendar as their standard method of time; to do so, a number of supplements have been added to make this the most useful calendar it can be.

Firstly, the days corresponding to the Gregorian weekends are accentuated - for what calendar can be called practical if it does not track common days of rest. Alongside this, all Federal Canadian Civic Holidays, and the eight Sabbats of the wheel of the year, are noted on their respective dates.

Additionally, one of the most notable aspects of the French Republican Calendar is Fabre d’Églantine's Rural Calendar, where each day was assigned a name connected to the rural economy, intended to supplant the Roman Catholic Calendar of Saints. This feature is now conveniently translated into English and marked on every day of the year for your perusal and amusement.

Whether you are an enthusiast of French Revolutionary History, a curious time keeper, or - like us - a serious user of this system of tracking time, we hope our calendar is a useful tool for you to engage with the passage of time in our modern world.

Welcome to the year 232.
